hey ladies, get funky

huh. i'm not sure if that's cool or not. i mean, it doesn't even count ME. although technically, i am not currently in the u.s., so there's that. but if i go back, will they know?
i guess that means it would be fairly easy to find me if you know my name. there's no one to confuse me with!
i'm sick. just a cold, but a pretty bad one. i haven't been going to class, but it's mostly laziness. i keep waking up and getting ready to go, but then i sit down and think about it. i would have to walk 15 minutes across campus and up all kinds of stairs to sit in a wooden desk and not listen to lecture and be miserable. and i can be miserable in my room, so i just don't go.
my friend brian called tonight and invited me to a party and i was all, "sure i'll go!" i meant to say, "can't, i'm sick," but it came out all wrong. i don't really want to go out, but i said i would. and brian is awesome. i would say, "i'll come back early," but i say that every time and still end up staying out until curfew. so. i'll try to not stay out too terribly late.
we had to live at a buddhist temple for a couple days, for a class. oh shit, and i have to write a report about it. dang. anyway, it was cool. kind of like bible camp, except with buddhists. we made a necklace! it has 108 beads, and apparently you're supposed to bow before putting on a bead, and therefore bow 108 times. but the monk was all, "you can just bow 3 times. that's enough." he was a super cool dude. he gave khalid 30 dollars to buy chicken, because at every meal, khalid would be like, "are we having chicken?"
there were people taking pictures of us the entire time we were there. that got annoying pretty fast. there was a film crew for a while, too. i guess we made the news. i didn't think it was worth all the fuss, but whatev.
maybe i'll get dressed now.
