around this time in korea, we get this wind that comes over from china, and it brings with it clouds of yellow sand. it's pretty much nasty. my city is pretty far inland, but it still got pretty bad last week. the sky was all yellow, and even at night you could see the dust in the air. i guess it was terrible in seoul, and i'm glad i didn't go. because i guess i'm allergic to the dust? i kind of couldn't breathe so well for a while, and it felt like really bad bronchitis. so i went to see the doctor on campus, and he gave me allergy pills and said it was from the dust. i feel better now, i'm just sore from coughing up all that yellow crap.

fucking china.

my visit with the doctor (which i didn't schedule, i just kind of walked in and told him my lungs hurt), including four days worth of medication, cost me around 32 cents.

last night, my roommates went to the grocery store, and they said they'd pick up some oranges for me, since i'm sick. they came back with chocolate moon pies. because i guess oranges were sold out? it's almost the same thing.

last thursday we had a special program event where we gave presentations and etc. it was supposed to be like a talent show, but only two groups really performed. most of us showed video or slideshows. my team's talent was "making money," i guess, so we showed a bunch of pictures of us pretending to have jobs. and then a bunch of pictures of us drunk at the bar. and we played this awesome korean song while showing it. we won second place! (everyone voted for the best three) our prize: a trip to go horse-back riding. yes.
